As of September 2023, more than 114 million people worldwide have been forced to flee their homes, due to conflict, persecution and human rights violations. By the end of 2024, the number is expected to reach 130 million.

Benefiting the International Rescue Committee (www.rescue.org), the compilation Hearts & Minds & Crooked Beats invites bands and visual artists to create work inspired by The Clash and celebrating their music and human rights message.

Featuring covers of The Clash by The Dandy Warhols, Mirah, Seán Barna, Smokey Brights, The Gotobeds, Labasheeda, Big League, Julia Massey of Warren Dunes, and The Rust and The Fury.

The digital album includes a bonus track, Bankrobber, recorded by Montreal band TEKE::TEKE.
